JULIET
world premiere
Experience acclaimed choreographer Robert Sher-Machherndl’s latest work JULIET – world premiere. He takes inspiration from human behavior and interaction in a fast paced digital age. Meet characters Juliet, Hanna and Klaus-Maria as they interpret new and unimagined movement language, taking the audience on a powerful and emotional journey. Distinctively innovative in style, JULIET reflects upon themes of connection, disconnection to intolerant action.
Award-winning architect Mike Moore joins the exploration. He take inspiration from illuminated device screens, and creates a floating light cube in the state-of-the-art 6000 sq ft gym. The audience is seated around the illuminated shape, and the performance takes place inside.
A panel discussion follows the performance with perspectives on racial intolerance, the rise of anti-semitism, and the role of the artist in today’s society. This talk encourages audience inclusion.
